Fascia is a band that runs horizontally under the roof edge and forms the outer surface of a cornice. The fascia board is used to hold the gutter.
The finished surface below the fascia is the soffit. The soffit forms a ceiling from the top of the exterior house wall to the outer edge of the roof.
The roofing system can be one of the most neglected parts of your home. It has a vital part to play in keeping your home safe, dry and warm. Your roof serves as one of the main lines of defense from harsh weather.
Older systems would have included wooden fascia and soffit. Unfortunately water and wood don't go hand and hand and this system has left many homes open to damage caused by rot and damp. At John Byrne PVC we have many low maintenance fascia and soffit options available.
